Our decaffeinated Peruvian Roast is grown by smallholder farmers along the storied, Piura River in Peru. Like most of northern Peru, the territory of Piura has been inhabited by a group of natives called tallanes and yungas. For thousands of years before the arrival of the Spanish these groups roamed the deserts, mountains, volcanoes and jungles of Peru, leaving their cultures distinct imprint upon the region. Piura is named after the native word for "abundance" because of it's incredibly rich soil and abundant environment. Our Peruvian roast is made from the finest, 100% Arabica beans coming from this region and is sure to delight your senses.
The longer length of time it takes coffee to ripen in this region, causes a later harvest season than the rest of Ethiopia. This allows the coffee beans to develop more complex and fruity flavors than other coffee beans, giving our Ethiopian blend that is as delicious as it is unique.
