Delicious, Single Origin Coffee
Grown across fertile highlands south of Lake Awas in the Sidama Region of southern Ethiopia, our Ethiopian Roast carries with it an ancient tradition of coffee agriculture in every sip. Elevation in this region ranges from 1,500–2,200 above sea level, and causes coffee beans to ripen slowly in cool temperatures, which in turn causes them to develop sweeter flavors. The soil of this region is some of the most fertile on Earth, and with 1,200–2,000 milimeters of annual rainfall, the conditions are ideal for growing coffee.
The longer length of time it takes coffee to ripen in this region, causes a later harvest season than the rest of Ethiopia. This allows the coffee beans to develop more complex and fruity flavors than other coffee beans, giving our Ethiopian blend that is as delicious as it is unique.
